A view of the Benjamin Sheares Bridge under construction from Kallang Basin. It is named after the second president of Singapore, and is the longest and highest elevated bridge in the country, spanning 1.8 kilometres in length. It was built as part of East Coast Parkway Express that connected the Shenton Way financial district to Changi Airport in the east, and was completed in 1981.
