Known today as a vibrant waterfront with luxury residences and extravagant yachts, Keppel Harbour was once a maritime hotspot whose surrounding waterways were said to have been active since the 13th century. It was established as a harbour in the 19th century and served as a vital trading post for passing ships.

Sentosa on the top left, is depicted before the extensive land reclamation that took place between 1979 and 1980. The cable car pylon is situated on the former Pulau Selegu, while Keppel Island (previously known as Pulau Hantu) had yet to be joined to the mainland.
